Ecommerce development, Sri Lanka

Ecommerce website development in Sri Lanka, built properly and run every month.

EasyEcom is an ecommerce team in Colombo. We build Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento stores for Sri Lankan businesses, connect card and PayPal payments for buyers here and abroad, then run the store every month. Setup starts from LKR 400,000.

Run by Balanita, in digital business since 2012. EasyEcom started in 2020 as our dedicated ecommerce brand.

Before you compare prices

Why the cheapest build costs more.

A low quote gets a store online. Then the plugins age, payments break and nobody answers. Many cheap builds need rebuilding within a year.

A cheap one-off build

  • A template, built once and handed over
  • Nobody updates plugins or security after launch
  • Payments set up for local cards only
  • Slows down or breaks when orders grow
  • The developer is hard to reach after you've paid
  • You pay again to fix it, or to rebuild it

A store built and run by EasyEcom

  • Built on the platform that fits your products and markets
  • Card and PayPal payments for buyers here and abroad
  • Updates and security handled every month
  • Built to handle real orders from day one
  • One team that answers on WhatsApp in office hours
  • One monthly invoice, with hosting included if we host it

Platforms

Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento developers, in one team.

Shopify

Quick to launch and simple to manage. Suits most product ranges. You pay Shopify's monthly plan directly.

WooCommerce

Built on WordPress. More control, and no platform subscription. Runs on hosting we set up or on your own server.

Magento

For large catalogues, many markets or B2B pricing. More power and more work to run, so it's quoted higher.

Questions

Questions Sri Lankan businesses ask us.

How much does an ecommerce website cost in Sri Lanka?

With EasyEcom, store setup starts from LKR 400,000, one-time, and monthly management starts from LKR 35,000 per month. Hosting, platform plans and payment fees are separate. Cheaper builds exist, but they usually come with no one to run the store after launch.

Can a Sri Lankan business accept PayPal on its website?

Yes. We connect PayPal and card payments to your store, in your business name, so overseas buyers can pay at checkout. How payouts reach your bank depends on your payment provider, and we go through it with you before we build.

Which is better in Sri Lanka: Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento?

It depends on your products, markets and budget, not on the country. Shopify is the quickest to launch, WooCommerce gives more control with no platform subscription, and Magento suits large catalogues and B2B. We recommend one on the first call and explain why.

Do you only work with businesses in Sri Lanka?

No. Our team works from Colombo for businesses anywhere. Selling abroad is our specialism, so Sri Lankan exporters are a natural fit.

Can my store offer cash on delivery in Sri Lanka?

Yes, if you want to offer it. We set the delivery areas and charges to your rules, alongside card payments.

Can you take over a store another developer built?

Yes. We start with a free store health check, then rebuild or migrate the store if it needs it. Monthly management starts when the new store goes live.

Do you do SEO and social media marketing?

We set up basic SEO on every store: page titles, meta descriptions and image alt text. We don't run ads or social media, and we don't bring buyers. Your marketing brings the demand.

Why is there a monthly fee?

Every store we build, we also run. Updates, security, payment problems and fixes are handled every month, so the store keeps working after launch. It starts from LKR 35,000 per month, with a 6-month minimum.
